Hi, I’m Elizabeth Testa.

Over the course of my 20-year career, I’ve worked with a wide range of organizations, from small nonprofits to corporations with global reach. I’ve helped local businesses with social media strategy and designed logos for ambitious startups. And as my career progressed, I started to see common threads emerge with each new role or project.

First, even with vastly different missions and goals, the cornerstones of good communications strategy remain the same no matter the niche. Second, many organizations don’t have the funding or ability to hire a dedicated communications staff member, or maybe just one. But the reality is that juggling multiple channels (so many channels!) and doing it all well (and strategically!) feels virtually impossible even for the most experienced professionals.

I’m here to help nonprofits and small businesses tell their stories and amplify their impact without breaking their bandwidth. Let me do the things that you don’t have the time or skills for so that you can focus on the things you do best.

My Approach + Process

First, we’ll meet to discuss your needs and goals. What are the areas your internal team is excelling at, and where might you need extra support? Are there projects you’ve wanted to tackle for years and just haven’t found the time to complete? Do you want to increase your reach on social media, audit and streamline the content on your website, or design your first-ever impact report? (Or all of the above?) From that conversation, I’ll get a good idea of the project’s scope and projected time to completion.

Second, I’ll send a proposal with options for ways we can work together. I understand that nonprofit organizations have tight and ever-changing budgets, and that small businesses are juggling a million things at the same time. I always offer several options for how we can structure our work together.

Once we kick off your project, whether it’s big or small, I will stay in touch with regular updates and communicate needs like edits and approvals. Ultimately, your satisfaction with the process and a successful finished product are the most important deliverables!
